The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 1pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Lowood and the area north of Lake Boondooma. "These thunderstorms are moving towards the southeast to northeast," the bureau said in a statement.

Car collides with tree at Coominya
